SolarVenti Ventilates, Dehumidifies and Warms
The sun is the sole source of power for the SolarVenti unit. There is no mains electrical connection. Consequently it is an amazingly effective solution for living spaces that go stale and smelly when unoccupied and the heating is off. If your property is too large for a single unit to be effective a second unit can be installed. The additional energy input by SolarVenti can be used to supplement the heating of the building, particularly with the larger SolarVenti units.
SolarVenti has NO Running Costs! and saves on your power bills
SolarVenti starts and stops automatically controlled by the sun's energy. With no mains electrical connection required it means you can turn off the power and services to a building for long periods while it remains unoccupied. This is of course subject to protection from frost which needs a power source. However it saves heating bills, conventional dehumidifier power conssumtion and wasted trips just to open up your building to the fresh air.
SolarVenti - How do i install the unit?
SolarVenti can be readily fitted to any South, South West or South East facing wall where there is little or no shade. It can be mounted on the wall using the brackets provided. The valve to regulate the air flow is installed inside the house and connects via a flex tube to the panel outside. It is simple to fit for most DIY capable people and any handyman with a power drill, screwdriver, hammer and cold chisel can fit the first three or four units in the SolarVenti range. Only the largest unit (the SV30) and any roof mounting requires a specially trained installer.
How and Why is SolarVenti effective?
Warm dry air absorbs much more moisture than cold air. After a cool night all of the atmospheric moisture is lying on the ground as dew, or frost in the winter, leaving a very dry but cool atmosphere. SolarVenti takes in this cold dry air and warms it before pumping it into your house where it sucks out moisture from the fabric of your property and replaces the colder damper atmosphere.
